More Weekend Updates

Kayleigh Epton ran the Alton 10 Mile, as part of her preparation for the Edinburgh Marathon later this month, and came home in a cracking 1.25.32. Looking good for Edinburgh now.

Bonkers!

Maybe our next Captains' Challenge race should be one of the Kamikaze race series by those crazy people at VO2 :-)
Here are just a few pictures from last Sunday's race at Pippingford Park in Sussex:

We mention this for two reasons - firstly because the ladies' race was won by recently joined WVR member Ros Viner, and because there's another version of the race coming up in September! Ros' time was 1.24.18. Have you got all the mud out of your ears yet Ros?
You can see the full race gallery by clicking here
And if you're feeling brave enough then click here to enter the September race in Dorset!

More From Last Week:

Laura Hales was third lady and first Vet 35 in the Staines 10K in 40.04, comfortably beating her time from the same race last year.
Paul Butler set a huge PB in the Shinfield 10K, going under 40 minutes for the first time with 36.38. That is a big improvement! And in the same race, Julia Robinson did 41.08 in her first ever race over the distance.

Congratulations to Ros, Laura, Paul and Julia
