A Good Weekend of Racing

Chris storms home at Frimley

Another sunny weekend saw lots of WV runners out and enjoying great race conditions. Starting on Saturday, we had five runners out for an early start at Frimley Lodge for the Parkrun:
- Chris Dent got a new PB, taking his time down to 23.08
- Peter Mannion equalled his PB with 18.35
- Peter Hansen got sub-20 for the 4th time with 19.54
- Martin Cox had his second fastest ever with 22.29
- Robin Wakefield warmed up for the next day's Fleet Half with a 23.42

Sunday was the Fleet Half Marathon - thanks Robin for the race report below, well done all the runners, if there were any PB's there please let us know via the Comments link

Laura prays for a PB (it worked)
There were also six club members getting ready for London by taking on the Cranleigh 21, posting some very fine times. I suspect all (except perhaps Keith) posted 21 mile PB's here:

- Laura Hales, 2.32.57
- Keith Hull, 2.37.55
- Simon Calderbank, 2.53.37
- Russell Conaway, 3.08.32
- Mark Wye, 3.08.32
- Kayleigh Epton, 3.24.12

Despite all that competition, there were still 15 runners out for our own 10K Handicap in Windlesham.

Katie Pearce was first home, Geoff Williams got the fastest time on the day, and Tony Hatch set a new PB with 52.23, great stuff! Full results list:
