Run of the month Little Frensham Pond

After Robin’s 20 mile warm up on Saturday in preparation for his Edinburgh Marathon in a couple of weeks’ time, he led the Windle contingency around the beautiful countryside surrounding Frensham Ponds.
We were anointed to the woodland trails that spiralled throughout this very sandy domain. It did feel a little like we were on the sand dunes of our southern coasts, particully navigating the hills, which were a tad bumpy.
We had on this excursion, a couple of canine followers belonging to Keith and Yvonne. They must have covered over double our 8 mile run, and tested out most of the muddy pools on route.
We enjoyed the stops on the way to take in the panoramic views. It also enabled those lagging at the back (mainly myself) to catch up with the “pacemakers”  The weather was on our side as it was sunny together with a slight cooling breeze. This was certainly a run that has to tried again. I have attached a couple of shots of the Windle  party who attended and sure they enjoyed it as much as myself. Again, thanks to Robin for a good call
Running, you know it makes sense
