Weekend Round-up

Starting on Saturday morning, the Frimley Parkrun provided its usual set of excellent results by Windle Valley Runners. It was quality not quantity this week, with personal bests by Pam Berriman and Chris Dent (for the 2nd week in a row!), and another sub-20 by Peter Hansen.

Also on Saturday, we had four runners at another "park run" - this time the Olympic Park Run, where Katie Pearce, Steve Moody, Lyn Taylor and Tony Sheridan were vying to be first across the finish line in the first ever competitive event to use the Olympic Stadium. There's a separate race report on its way for that.

Then on Sunday, never mind all this messing about with flat fast fives, Mike and Debby Hewison showed us how it should be done, running a hilly 16 mile off-roader from Combe Gibbet to Overton. In their first race for the club, Mike completed it in 2h10m, and Debby in 2h28m.

Finally, a week earlier, Colin Woods ran the Eastleigh 10K in 54.24, beating his 2011 time by almost 4 minutes. Well done Colin!
